Right Action is dedicated to helping individuals and groups who have chosen to relieve the suffering of all beings. Many of us today are well off, both financially and physically and are looking for a way to help others directly. And we know that there are so many who are hungry, homeless, abused and abandoned.

As many of you know, Doris Stone - Haas died early this year, leaving us to mourn this loss and to celebrate the great gift of knowing Doris. Guenter Haas, Doris' husband is carrying on the great work that Doris began. Our commitment is to continue to help the children and support their growth.

Please keep Guenter and the children in your hearts and aid us in encouraging them to live out the dreams that Doris and Guenter believed in so deeply.

special recognition

Living in the world means being faced with decisions that can and do change our life and the lives of others. Making the right choice means facing choosing what is pleasing at the moment or choosing what looks difficult to do.  This month RAC recognizes a special benefactor whom has helped to make a difference in the quality of life for those less fortunate.

In the past 15 months Eitan and Nesta Aharoni have been generous in their contributions to help the Stone children. During the California visit last spring, the Aharoni's invited the Stone family to their home where the children had a wonderful time, sliding down the specially built railing in the central staircase.  Eitan is a well known San Diego architect and Nesta is an editor and writer.

There are many false impressions of meditation. Meditation is beneficial to everyone, whether they are Protestant, Catholic, Jewish, Muslim and any other religion. Meditation is not mysterious; it is a way to calm down, to lower the blood pressure, to restore the nervous system, to find the clear mind that is within all of us.
