about us
| our mission |
Right Action is dedicated
to helping individuals and groups who have chosen to relieve the
suffering of all beings. Many of us today are well off, both financially
and physically and are looking for a way to help others directly. And we
know that there are so many who are hungry, homeless, abused and
abandoned.

| guiding principles |
As
Buddha taught over 2000 years ago, life includes suffering. Buddha taught
that compassion is a great virtue and that no one is without Buddha
nature. All of us have Buddha nature, no matter what we may have done
with our lives, that essence of Buddha nature is there, always there,
ready to be awakened.
“ All beings by nature are Buddha, as ice by its nature is water.” -
Zenji
Seeking
a way out of suffering, Buddha taught the Four Noble Truths; that in life
there is suffering, that suffering is caused by attachment (desire), that
we can end desire and that there is a way out of this attachment. By
following the Eightfold path, all of us have available a path to
compassionate living.
Living
in the world means being faced with decisions that can and do change our
life and the lives of others. Making the right choice means facing
choosing what is pleasing at the moment or choosing what looks difficult
to do.

| our history |
Bill and Ellen Williams and Justine Williams-Lara have spent much of the past decade helping people who are involved in rescue work. After years of teaching men and women how to trade the financial markets, Bill and Ellen wanted to use their abilities and success to improve the lives of people in need. This group includes Doris Stone who has adopted 15 special needs children and Gail and Doug Keene who rescue all sorts of animals .We hope that you will find their stories fascinating and uplifting. And we hope that these stories will inspire others to help those who are in great need. |
